I'm Dominic, an IT security student and software developer with a strong focus on building secure and scalable software. I started my journey by building small web applications in my free time as a teenager, and I've been passionate about building things ever since. Early on, I grew bored of computer science in general, but I found a study program at Ruhr University Bochum that fits me well: it focuses on IT security already in the bachelor's program.
During my studies, I gained a deep, largely theoretical understanding of IT security, but practical experience was missing. So I started working at AI Gruppe in Bochum, Germany, where I've been building secure software and systems in practice. I also worked on various projects (some are listed below), which helped me sharpen my skills in IT security and software development.
Beyond code, I'm an active Obsidian user, passionate about structured thinking, knowledge management, and continuous learning. During my studies, I realized that structuring knowledge so it stays easily accessible and expandable is a valuable skill — especially in technology, where the volume of information is huge and everything builds on component knowledge.

Developed a GUI-based calibration tool for measurement devices, backed by an external service for storing calibration data and certificates.
